Peach Crest FarmsSusan is a non-farmer person that has sought the help of many farming people and has made her farm work. Peach Crest Farm located in Stratford, OK has 9000 peach trees along Hwy 177 with a display garden area, packing shed and barns. Peaches that don’t have the perfect appearance for sale as fresh produce are processed into Peach Crest’s line of jarred products including jam, salsa, mustard and BBQ sauce. Three miles from the farm on the highway are an additional 160 acres where they grow a variety of vegetable crops including cantaloupe, tomatoes, onions, lettuce and more. Twelve of those acres are certified organic. Peach Crest Farm is currently supplying fresh produce to the Pauls Valley School district and both produce and products to the University of Oklahoma. It is planned for Peach Crest to grow cantaloupe for the 2009 farm to school statewide program. Peach Crest also sells at local farmers markets, the Oklahoma Food Coop and several large grocery chains. Susan always says, “ When it is right of the farm fresh, you can taste the difference. You won’t believe it until you try it for yourself”.
